When we first arrived at
Riley's Farm Christan was asked to hold the flag that represented our group. He kept asking me, "Do I have to hold this the whole day?" It was really cute & I got a lot of great pictures.
First we learned about the games they played in colonial times
Next was how to make apple cider, Christian was chosen to crank the wheel of the press, as long as he could (it got pretty tough to crank quickly.)
The tour guide took over & all the kids got a chance to throw apples into the press.
After that we all got to enjoy yummy caramel apples & they were so delicious!
Christan is not a huge fan of sweets but he ate his entire apple
Then he got to learn how they made candles

Next they learned etiquette & how to properly bow to young lady at that time.
Most kids know where milk comes from, but it was funny to see their expressions as the guide explained & showed them how the cow is milked.

Then they learned how butter was made back then & they all got to try churning.
Lastly they were shown how clothes were made & they got to try weaving on a Lu themselves.
Christian & I just goofing around!
It was such a beautiful day, we had a picnic lunch & then drove back to the school. I would definitely go back again, it was very fun & educational.
