Family Fun Night, Pumpkin style!

On Wednesday night we had a great time as a family. We carved the pumpkins we bought from the pumpkin patch.

When we carve the pumpkins we explain to the kids that the yucky pulp inside they scoop out is like Jesus who reaches inside of us & scoops out all the yucky sin, when we accept Him. Then we save the seeds to toast & the pulp can be used to make pie. Which is like us, God can use those yucky things we've done for His glory & make us useful. Then at the end after we've carved, we put the light in, which is like the light of Jesus that shines through us out to the world that they may see the truth.

We also popped popcorn & watched Journey to the Center of the Earth. These are the memories that last.

I must say my husband is very talented, he carved the one on the right(he drew it himself). The next day the hands were down, but it still worked~
