A day with Uncle Bob

My Uncle Bob is my Dad's Uncle, he was married to my Aunt Julia who passed away right before I was born which is why I was named Julia. He is 89 Years old & still has ALL of his wits about him. He tells all the stories of my Dad & Auntie growing up. We went up to visit with him the first week of June. He has an aneurysm in his heart & we don't know how long he has, with Allen's Grandma & my Nanny passing we want to spend as much time as we can with those we love, you never know when it's going to be the last time you see them.

Allen brought his handgun up to show uncle Bob, as he loves hunting & shooting, so he always enjoys talking about guns with Allen.
Not the best picture, but the kids love my Auntie's dog Sandy.

After lunch with Uncle Bob we drove to my Auntie's avocado grove, this is one of the views from the top. That little black blob in the sky is an eagle that kept flying by, it was gorgeous!
After hearing that my Auntie's workers found 6 rattlesnakes on the property the week before I was playing lookout for my little ones.
Allen & Christian picked lots of avocados, Ashley only picked one as she was scared of the snakes too & was not about to go into the trees & pick, so we left that to the "men." Thankfully we never saw any snakes.
Allen, the kids & my Auntie showing their bounty.

A friend of my Auntie owns a blueberry field. These are the most delicious blueberries I have ever tasted! The kids had a blast picking & eating..... & eating....... & eating.
We each picked our own container of blueberries! Although I think we each ate a full container as we picked them. :)

When we got back from picking we took some blueberries to Uncle Bob, my Auntie built him a house on her property so he's right next door to her. We love you Uncle Bob!

We had such a nice time visiting & enjoyed picking all of the fruit & just spending time as a family. :)

The kids love it when we go to Aunties & so do we!
Thank you Auntie for lunch & Uncle Bob for such a nice visit.
