The Jurupa Cultural Arts Center

On Wednesday I went with Christian & his class to the Jurupa Cultural Arts Center in Jurupa. We had a great time & really learned a lot about rocks, minerals & fossils. Thank you Jessica & Cathy for watching Ashley for me so I could go. (Ashley's school had a swine flu outbreak so they closed it down for 2 days).
Coby & Christian when we 1st got there, best buds!
Christian was chosen to show off this special rock!
Those are nails & you should have seen his face when the lady said she was going to put nails in his hands! :) It was really cool how powerful that magnetite rock was!
T-Rex Christian's favorite Dinosaur
The raptor exhibit
After looking at & learning about all the dinosaurs the kids got to go digging for there very own precious stones. They got to choose 12 stones & put them in this egg carton
Christian digging, he even found a shark's tooth!
