We arrived in Texas at 2:30pm Texas time on Thursday November 3rd. We went to the McNeill's, had some delicious brisket chili & then Scott & Denise took us on a tour of Bastrop to see all of the fire devastation. It was so sad, thankfully most people only lost their homes & not their lives.
The next morning we got up & went into a little town called Gruene (Pronounced "Green") for lunch. We ate at a great place called the Gristmill restaurant, the view from every seat is amazing.
This is a famous hall, where a lot of big names have performed.
After lunch we went to a neat gift shop & each got an ice cream cone.
Later that evening we went to Josh & Caleb's football game. It was FREEZING!!!!

Christian & Jordan were the water boys (when they weren't throwing the football to each other on the sidelines)
Christian is by no means short, but look how small he looks next to my nephew Josh (#15) and Caleb (# 6).
Ashley & Abby had made a whole bunch of beaded bracelets to sell at the game, they sold every one of them & made $12.00 each!
The Warriors ended up winning the game! Woo Hoo!
